Objective:

The Canadian Golf Brands Alliance (CGBA or Alliance) is a community where owners and operators of Canadian golf brands can connect with colleagues to co-create a clear ‘Buy Canadian’ initiative aimed at consumers, golfers, retailers, and golf courses in Canada.

Specifically, the Alliance is intended to support:

  • Recruitment (who should be part of the Alliance)
  • Marketing (who are our audiences, and what are the best means to engage them)
  • Communications (what are the messages and the mediums we will utilize)
  • Collaboration (partnership opportunities within the Alliance)

Function:
The Alliance will convene meetings that will connect and engage members who are recognized as Canadian Golf Brand owners and operators. Here the Alliance will facilitate sessions to build our community, strengthen it, share good practices, and examine sustainable practices.

Regular meetings:

  • Charter development (who are we; what do we believe in; how will we operate)
  • Outreach and Engagement
  • Communicate our Alliance and its successes.
  • Values
We believe in the following:
  • Equity – no one member is better than any other. We are equals in the Alliance.
  • Respect – like the game we love, our collaboration will be built on a foundation of mutual respect.
  • Wisdom – there is knowledge and experience across our Alliance, and we will seek to tap into that, value it and nurture it.
  • Honesty – We may not always agree, but we will act honestly and value the consensus of the Alliance.
Structure:
The Alliance will meet regularly at a time that is appropriate, with the aim of allowing people to meet and engage on items related to our shared objectives.
